SRS Sets Wheels in Motion to Enhance Customer Service

SRS Cleaning Equipment has made a major investment in new technology to further improve its customer service and business efficiency.
The North Yorkshire-based company is one of the UK’s leading specialists in the sale, lease, hire and maintenance of sweepers, scrubber driers, burnishers and pressure washers with a reputation spanning thirty years.
SRS has recently completed a deal, worth in the region of £18,000, with UniTrak Telematics to install its fleet of service vehicles with tracking devices.

The majority of SRS’s fleet will benefit from the new technology which will allow the company to easily track their vehicles at any time of the day or night.

This means that the company will now be able to redirect their engineers to improve response times, increase the number of jobs completed each day, reduce fuel consumption and costs and above all offer customers an even better level of service.
SRS established in 1978, employs 45 people at its five acre site in Middleton Tyas, North Yorkshire as well as sub contractors around the UK in its maintenance division. The company works across a variety of sectors, including distribution and warehousing, factories, airports, retail and car parks, and benefits from longstanding relationships with some of the world’s best cleaning equipment manufacturers.
SRS was one of the first UK companies to offer an alternative to the purchase of cleaning machinery and the rental market now accounts for a large amount of its business. In the last three years the company has made significant investments in its hire fleet and now offers in excess of six hundred and fifty sweepers and scrubber driers.
Warwick Stephenson of SRS, commented: “Much of our success can be attributed to our constant commitment to the highest levels of customer service. UniTrak’s state-of-the-art equipment allows us to offer an even better level of efficiency. We have been delighted with their reliable and flexible approach and their thorough understanding of what we need to continue to be one of the most customer-focussed cleaning companies in the UK. What’s more our staff find the new equipment easy to use and the continual free upgrades will let us stay ahead of the game and improve business efficiency.”
UniTrak Telematics supplies companies all over the UK with the most sophisticated yet user-friendly vehicle, asset and workforce tracking solutions. The UniTrak solution provides SRS with visibility over their fleet in real time, minute by minute, 24 hours a day 365 days per year.  In addition, they have an audit trail of where their vehicles have been.  This enables them to monitor and ensure their commitment to delivering an excellent level of service to their customers by looking at arrival time, time on site and departure times.

Robin Hill-Walker, managing director of Unitrak, added: “It’s vital that a business such as SRS is able to track and manage its most valuable assets- its vehicles and its workforce. We use the most advanced mobile technology, customised to each company’s individual requirements, to allow businesses not only to improve customer service and efficiency but also to reduce overheads.
